03:29 pm - Codecon aftermath
I had a lot of fun at CodeCon this year. It was an even better event for me to attend than it was in previous years. I need to write down more about my thoughts and impressions of various projects before I forget.
San Francisco was also interesting, though I didn't get to see all that much of it, as usual. Perhaps, when I have more vacation time, I can take a few days vacation after or before CodeCon and see more of San Francisco.
I did get a cold on Saturday. That was pretty irritating, though luckily it did not reach my adenoid gland, cause it to swell up and close off the channel to my middle ear before the planeride back home. I had some extremely spicy food on Monday, and that helped a bit, but I think I'm going to have to wait until it's run its course to eat more so my sinuses will stay cleared out.
I had a brief dinner with Rose. She chose her priorities, and I wasn't one of them. Sadly (for her) she decided that some unreasonable demand her job was making was a higher priority than spending time with a friend she hasn't seen in a year. Though, I expect that the long drive to the San Jose airport probably also was a factor.
I saw eqe there, and we had a fun and interesting several conversations as well. :-)
Most of my more specific comments about CodeCon will be friends-only as I'm not totally comfortable with the information leaking in its rather raw form out into the world at large. :-)
