03:33 pm - Very sweet and recursive

Previous Entry Share Next Entry

For those of you who don't know about it, XKCD is, IMHO, one of the best comics on the web, at least in my opinion. No other webcomic so frequently manages to hit my sense of humor so dead on.

Examples:

Recursive love, very geeky and sweet. And it so perfectly captures the essence of something important.
To Be Wanted
Surrealism at its finest. I'd love to think of something like this to to do that wasn't expensive and wouldn't hurt anybody. I still chuckle at this one.
A-Minus-Minus
I often feel that I'm taking the girl's role in situations similar to this one.
Grownups
And this is what I frequently do when people use profanity around me. I don't actually care, but it's fun to play with people's heads, and while I don't care about any individual use of profanity, it seems to me like it's often overused and this seems like an effective way of dealing with that.

I was going to bring one to Knittin Kittens next week. Hubby's going out and I need ENTERTAINMENTING.

I keep asking if there are any special requests and haven't gotten any so I guess I get to pick. :D

One of the first Java applets I made calculates Fibonacci numbers up to the 72nd or so, because that's the limit of a 64 bit signed integer. :-)

Why just 10 minutes ago I picked up the cat and informed her that "in a survey of 10 million people, zero liked poopy butts."

My favorite is the facebook one.

Also - watch for potential future comics on robot sex. Evidently Thane was in an IRC channel (trying out that noise-reducing bot) with him when this topic came up. :P

I think I was half-way through the archives when I noticed the hover notes for the first time and had to start over at the beginning so I didn't miss anything.

I love this particular comic:
