In the tradition of kraut, jive, and the Swedish Chef translator, I bring you the English to 12 Year Old AOLer Translator

Wil Wheaton, of Wesley Crusher fame has a blog, and a Slashdot ID. He still acts, and was hosting a show once where he told people flat out that Windows is full of security holes. He got a really funny letter in response. Strangely enough, the letter makes much more sense after being run through the translator.

Post translator

Pre translator

To contrast, I'll post a translated paragraph, then the paragraph, and you can see if the translator seems nearly so magical when applied to my prose:

OK I SUPOSA DA POST TRANSLA2R MASAEG IS A LITLE HARD3R 2 R3AD BUT DA WHOLA 2N3 OF TEH MASAEG SEMS MUCH MORE BLEIVABLE IN TAHT VERSION1!111!! LOL -) P3RHAPS TEH POST-TRANSLA2R VARSION IS HOW TEH PERSON NORMALY WRIETS AND H3 MAED AN 3FORT 2 SOUND LIEK A NORMAL HUMAN BNG IN DA VANE HOPE OF BNG TAEKN S3RIOUSLY!!1!1! OMG WTF

OK, I suppose the post translator message is a little harder to read, but the whole tone of the message seems much more believable in that version. :-) Perhaps the post-translator version is how the person normally writes, and he made an effort to sound like a normal human being in the vain hope of being taken seriously.
