I've been playing lots of Neverwinter Nights, working, and dreading pager duty next week.

Pager duty... I've never had pager duty of any kind before. The prospect of being woken up at 3am by a complaining pager isn't so daunting though. It's the fact that I'll be expected to know what to do about whatever problem it is that's happening. I don't feel I know nearly enough to really know what to do yet. That will probably all change very quickly. Trial by fire. :-)

Yesterday, I spent lots of time working on CAKE. I got some useful code written, and have one of the trickier bits left to do. After that, it's revisiting my code to integrate with email, and making it work again. Whee!

I had been expecting to spend a bunch of yesterday with elynne, but she woke up at 16:00, and then we wouldn't have had as much time as we were hoping, so we postponed until today. *chuckle* It should be fun. :-)

I took a 'nap' from around 11:00 - 16:00 yesterday, so my sleep schedule is slightly messed up. I'm feeling strangely tired now actually. I did only sleep from 2:00 - 8:00, so maybe I should go back to bed again for an hour or two. Maybe it's just that I've dropped caffeine this weekend.

I'm awake! ;) I need to call ya - and then get in the shower. Oh, and email you directions to here. I may be awake, but I'm not sure I'm concious yet... ;]

Welcome to my world ;) I've been working for my company for 6 years, and I still don't know everything that they expect us to know when we're on-call. Training would be nice, but apparently that's not in the budget ;) Yesterday we had a fiber cut, today the IT network had a router go down, and tonight at 2am I get to move a head end. Like I said, welcome to my world ;)
